Mossberg has been producing returnable and reusable plastic reels for decades. Sustainability is not a new concept for us. We have worked closely with our customers to develop return programs that help alleviate their customer's disposal concerns.
Mossberg has in house refurbishing capabilities. Reels that cannot be reused will be ground up and the regrind blended to make new products. Every year we increase the amount of regrind or reprocessed material used, thus reducing our demand for prime resin for production.
Growing disposal costs and tighter restrictions are here to stay. We want to work with our customers to find a cost effective solution to create a closed loop system for returns and reuse of plastic spools and reels.
